Our philosophy on food is simple. We believe it should be appetising and expertly cooked, and full of flavour from carefully selected quality ingredients. Our supplies are delivered daily, and wherever possible we use local produce.
In keeping with our traditional English inn heritage, you’ll find an excellent selection of hearty, British dishes on our menu. Mouth-watering cottage pie, succulent Scottish mussels, tender calves liver and bacon are just some of the tasty dishes we’ll tempt you with. And we always try to include seasonal dishes such as pheasant and quail.
We have excellent vegetarian options too as well as lighter choices for anyone watching their waistline.
Our wine selection surprises and delights even the most discerning connoisseur. We pride ourselves on a well-kept cellar and update our wine list regularly. Each bottle is carefully selected from a small shipper in Sussex who we know personally, and who shares our values.
